: I am wanting to start making soap, however I am not sure which product to start with. I liked the recipes from this site and I need to know is this very complicated?

Its not complicated at all. You take the correct amount of water and slowly pour in the correct amount of lye and stir that gently until it is mixed. You then pour that into the correct amount of oil and either stir or blend it. When it starts to thicken you pour it into molds and let it set. Let it cure for about two weeks before using it.

It is very easy and fun. Remember to wear rubber gloves and goggles when handling the lye. Also, keep children away during the handling of lye. If you do those two things you will be fine. Also, remember to pour the lye into the water not the water into the lye. Hope this helps.
