: My wife is making cold process soaps. After they have had a chance to cure, is it a good idea to shrink wrap the soaps for resale and gifts. Does this cause to much sweating? And does this cause mold/mildewing of the soap? If you can shrink wrap the bars does this hold the fragrence longer?
I can tell for sure that if the soap is not well cured, wrapping it will likely cause mold. It happened to us with goat milk soaps and they were hand-wrapped with cello, not shrink wrapped. As for the fragrance, don't know yet.
